After recently upgrading to the latest version of MakeMKV, I've decided to install the DASPI that came with it. Before, MakeMKV used OS access (or something to that extent), and my BD rips worked fine. However, with direct disc access I constantly get SCSI errors.
Is there a way to disable this?
I run a registered version of MakeMKV, and use OS X 10.8.4
Thanks a million!
Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
Re: Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
There were some other messages posted in the Mac section about DASPI no longer being needed, except in specific situations. If you had one of those situations, MakeMKV would let you know that you should install it, otherwise, don't bother.

Re: Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
Yeah, see, the problem is I've already installed it, and am trying to figure out how to uninstall it. I can't seem to find any resources online on how to uninstall the DASPI kernel. Nada. Zilch. I was hoping someone here could offer guidance. Thanks for your reply anyway.
Re: Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
Google came up with this (old) topic about removing DASPI, as well as disabling it "on the fly":

Either this could be a bad disk or drive. You might also want to try another just to isolate the issue.
