Has beta key stopped?

Hi I’m new to makemkv, I’ve had it for about a week and am only iso dvd, so from what I’ve read the beta is free for dvd, but I’m getting a pop up that says the application version is too old. Please download the latest version at …. Or enter registration key.
I’ve checked the versions there hasn’t been a new one since September and I only downloaded last week. I have removed the “old” version and redownloaded but still no luck, I even redid it and shut down everything and looked again the next day, still nothing. Help what do I do. is the free version only available for like a week and then you must upgrade????

I think maybe it expires after 7 days unless you register. You can however register using the beta key which expires every so often, this should give you more time to evaluate it.

Go to this forum page viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 and copy the Beta key and "Register" the software with that key.
