So when I first converted my BDRW to read my 4k disc movies, it worked perfectly.
However, I also tested PLAYING the discs on MPC-HCx64, and they all worked (albeit my current screen isn't HRD compatible so everything looked dark).
Half a week later, October rolled around and the new license key was released, which I updated yesterday, but when I went to watch the new How to Train Your Dragon 4k disc using MPC, it would not load at all. The disc shows up, but won't load. Other programs (PowerDVD, VLC) start to load, but then state I am missing some sort of file or setting (which I have checked to fix, but still same issues for these programs).
I find/found it weird since it was working only a few days ago but using MPC is the easiest method at this point without fighting PowerDVD or VLC.
Any ideas what might cause MPC to not load them any longer?

Did you ever get it to work? Because as I said, the first time I tried, it played perfectly fine, until I tried it the other day...GreyFox386 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 11, 2025 2:18 pmI am having the exact same issue with How to Train Your Dragon 4k UHD. :=(
Not big deal since a lot of the 4Ks still come with BR discs, but eventually they might stop that addition for good.
