When ripping a disc it gets stuck for 4 to 5 minutes on "Analyzing seamless segments" and then continues for around 30s to 1min saving the mkv and getting stuck for 5 minutes doing nothing, etc.pp. While it's stuck analyzing, all IO to all drives is frozen. opening task manager doesn't even show any hard drives during those 5 minutes. opening explorer immediately freezes it.
It works totally fine on continuous 2x speed with any 1.17 version (last tested 1.17.9)
Tested multiple BR discs on both versions with the same result.
what takes 1 hour in 1.17, now takes 6 hours in 1.18

Makemkv is super slow on version 1.18.1
Re: Makemkv is super slow on version 1.18.1
I am not experiencing that issue, nor did I see any other reports of other people experiencing it which I would guess there would be plenty by now.
I occasionally experience issues with MakeMKV behaving similar to how you describe, but it causes no other issues for me.
I solve the issue with MakeMKV by either restarting MakeMKV and opening/closing my disc drive or rebooting my PC.
Although, I completely forgot I intended to post a recent issue which I think was only solved when I hard-killed the power to my PC.
To clarify, it was MakeMKV being unable to read discs and being VERY slow at trying, but I think the drive itself was unable to read discs, with no other issues you describe.
The solution was to not reboot but power off the PC then switch off the power supply.
First & only time (thus far) I needed to physically disconnect power to fix an issue such as this, but could be worth an attempt.
