Hey y'all! I've got a 2012 Mac Mini running Monterey through Opencore Legacy Patcher, and I'd like to make this my full time ripping machine. My drive is recognized on the computer, but MakeMKV says it can't find usable optical drives. It also works on MakeMKV with my newer Macbook.
Would running an older version of MakeMKV with a permanent key solve this? If so, where could I find older downloads?

Permanent keys make older versions work, too.
A lot of Macs have issues with MacOS grabbing the drive, and not letting unapproved apps access them. The newer the version of MacOS, the more likely this is to happen. Are you getting any messages from the OS about MakeMKV?

Hopefully you"re not depending on USB power.
I have the same mini to capture DV via firewire and everytime I move the captures onto a USB drive I find that the USB ports may or may not be under powered for whichever USB->M.2 adapter I'm using.

Not dependent on USB power. I tried booting up 1.18.1 but got these errors. After the initial gatekeeper message about known developers, I haven't received any messages about MakeMKV from the OS.
