MKV Disconnects from Drive frequently

Has anyone had this problem when changing disc MKV disconnects from my Drive and I have to shut down MKV then open it again this happens a lot, I have the latest version of MKV installed.

I almost never have that happen but at this point it is rare for me to rip more than one or two discs in a row.

When the drive disappears, does the computer still see it or has it seemingly disappeared from the whole computer?

I've been working through my TV BDs to bring them into Plex. I've got 2 drives so both are ripping at the same time. After several dozen discs each, the 'loading' icon pops up when changing discs as expected, but they nothing is actually happening with either drive. Nothing I have done will restore functionality, except rebooting the PC.
