My drive going bad?
I've had this drive for a 2-3 yrs, & have gotten good use out of it. It's a Pioneer BDR-XD07UHD. I have ripped this disc before (pictured), I also (eventually) ripped Terminator, & a couple others, but it had a hard time recognizing them. (I had to reinstall makemkv) Can you recommend another player if it is going bad?

Re: My drive going bad?
As usual, you'll have to have at least 1 more drive to begin to know.
Is that Game of Thrones the 4K UHD box set? Across the 3 sets I bought, all of them had at least 2 random discs and 1 common disc that wouldn't read. 1 of the 3 sets had 6 discs that wouldn't read and for all 3 sets season 7 disc 2 was never successful. I used the Asus BW-16D1HT and the LG WH14NS40. FWIW, in my case 16D1 was much more successful but, it seems that box set isn't the best for reference.

It's from the Box set,, when I originally ripped this set it only had 1 bad disc.
Re: My drive going bad?
The plastic used for that box set might erroneously have a certain amount of self-healing properties or too much moisture or ... Regardless, I'd never use the Game of Thrones UHD box set as a reference for anything.
Re: My drive going bad?
This forum is littered with folks tearing their hair out trying to rip the Game of Thrones discs, which seemed to have been manufactured as cheaply as possible.
That said, it might help to gently clean the discs. Sometimes they have an almost invisible film or deposits on them that make the optical drive's job that much harder.
