I bought an ASUS BW16D1HT hoping I could use it in my server (and pass it through to my Windows VM) but no dice. It is the only desktop I have, I have ran laptops for years at this point.
Is it possible to use it over USB? If so, what adapter do I need? I only have one of those passive USB to SATA adapters for 2.5 drives, so I assume it will need more power? (if it is even possible)

See guide
VM adds another layer of complexity you may need to fully passthrough the whole USB controller to the vm for libredrive to work correctly
