Makemkv is a fantastic tool! The only serious issue I have is the lack of "Forced Subtitle" support. It can be quite difficult to track down and take care of "forced subtitles" in a number of DVDs and it can be a bit of a pain to run mkvmerge every time (even for BluRays). If this issue were resolved, I'd buy this tool in a heartbeat!
Thanks for listening.

I agree. I will buy this software too as soon as proper forced DVD/VOB subtitle detection is implemented.
Is this being worked on already?

Re: Forced subtitles & makemkv
District 9 has a set of subtitles the appear when the aliens speak in their own language. They appear when playing the original BD even if subtitles are turned off.
If I rip with MakeMKV , they are not there. Surely there is a way to force these to appear, but how?
If this has been discussed before, please point me to the right thing. I looked but didn't find it.
I'm new to using both BD and mkv for playback. Is this forced subtitles issue what is causing my problem with this movie?
