This has worked for me with two movies.philnort wrote:".... For some reason Anydvd bypass riplock but makemkv does not :3...."
I also have a modified firmware on my Liteon I-HES208 that avoids the firmware riplock. And...like yourself..I found that AnyDVD seemed to utilize the unlocked the rip speed....but not MakeMKV. However, what I discovered....You're probably (like my setting) using the "full speed ahead" setting on AnyDVD's Drive setting, i.e., "Fast & Noisey". To maintain that full speed ahead rip speed in MakeMKV what I do is the following: Start AnyDVD when you insert your disc in the drive...let it do its thing. Then...CLOSE AnyDVD. Now, start the MakeMKV app. You'll find that you have full unlocked rip speed. At least I do...works every time. (Eg: a 22Gb BD in 15 minutes, a 36 Gb BD {Kill Bill II} in 22 minuites !)
My apologies for reviving an old thread. I just purchased the BDR-206 and am experiencing similar problems to those above, but not exactly. I do not have AnyDVD installed but use makemkv for all of my ripping and decrypting. Currently using BETA 1.65 and FW 1.05.mike admin wrote:Please try latest version, 1.6.4. and see if it makes any difference.
