Why is the version of AACS my disc players can use v46 only?

Post by NShameA »

Hello, Using win7, Pioneer is on 800 FW in BYTECC case and Matshita is internal, paid version of MakeMKV...currently v1.9.9 64bit, disc player info below. I want to understand what I need to do to be able to "use" higher versions of AACS. Is that what "Highest AACS version" means.....able to be "used" by the system or MakeMKV ? Thank You much.

The "Highest AACS" is the most recent version the drive has seen, not the limit on what it can read. If you put a disk in that has AACS v56, that will change to 56.
