I'm getting more and more "No disc inserted" messaages. It's always been for bluray disks. Last week I couldn't get my first standard dvd to load.
Is the drive going out? Is that why more and more error messages are popping up?
I get some to load, but others I can't. I am running under administrative mode. I've even tried rebooting the machine.
Thoughts?
Please.
Is my drive going out???
Re: Is my drive going out???
Try one more thing - a power-down restart. Sometimes, hardware gets confused. Reboots do not always reset the hardware... powering down does.
In the old days, we didn't leave our computers running all the time, now a lot of us do. And we always had big red RESET buttons to push when things went wacko.
Well, two things - cleaning the drive itself, at least blowing it out with a duster. Dirt can cause the optics to not move where they should be, or see what they should see.
