I got this bluray disc and MakeMKV list a lots of titles like this
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 20.0 GB
Divergent - 17 chapter(s) , 19.6 GB
Divergent - 17 chapter(s) , 19.2 GB
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 19.8 GB
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 18.8 GB
Divergent - 17 chapter(s) , 19.5 GB
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 20.0 GB
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 20.0 GB
Divergent - 16 chapter(s) , 18.9 GB
-----
there are about 50 of those listed titles, but the disc size is only 23,GB
some of them have 16 chapters while some of them have 17...
I tried capture several of them, but found at certain time, the move jumps to another scene.....
however, if I play the disc on the bluray player, everything is fine...
hope can find answer, thank you

Re: there are multiple titles but only one is true.....
Many new disks do this, taking advantage of a thing called "seamless branching" to make the feature (and dozens of not-the-feature) title up out of a collection of scenes. The titles are really just a list of scenes, in different orders, so you can put a confusing number of titles on without making a bigger disk.
Searching Google with the keywords "bluray playlist obfuscation youtube" will come up a videos that use a tool called "Process monitor" on Windows to find out which file is played with "real" BD-aware player programs, to find the one you need to rip.

Re: there are multiple titles but only one is true.....
thank you, I did some search and SUCCESSFULLLY got the correct one,
here is how, pop up powerdvd, look for total movie runtime ( in my case, all fake titles have different runtime, but only one matches with powerdvd)
i learned people suggest to ask the player to display which title is playing.. here is another story..
powerdvd displays title one is being played, however
in makeMKV, a fake title is listed as title 1....
here is the makeMKV captures result.
File 00003.mpls was added as title #0
File 00005.mpls was added as title #1
.....
so looks like it search for file naming from small to big and then state them as title 1, 2,3 accordingly
also, in powerdvd, it says title 1/total chapter 17 is being played,
however, the real title in makeMKV is only 16 chapter.....
final thoughts:
in my case, it's easy because i use total runtime to capture the true title, BUT, what if the company make ALL titles have the same runtime ?
that will be a big pain
