Hi all. Been using MakeMKV for a while now, and have been absolutely loving it! I was finally able to acquire an HTPC unit recently, and we've been enjoying our MKVs on our living room TV ever since.
On a few of the rips I have noticed some very minor playback artifacts (i.e. momentary full-screen pixelation), and when I opened up the files on the desktop they were present in the same place. Clearly these are embedded into the MKV video stream, and not a mere playback issue.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a validation tool for analyzing the video/audio stream of an MKV for artifacts or dropouts? A tool like this would be very useful for doing MKV validation, and would allow me to check whether an MKV is acceptable or if I need to go back and try recapturing it.
Let me know if anyone has heard of something like this. Thanks! -Ravik
