won't read a BDMV foler without a certificate folder?

Post by mattias83 »

I have a couple blu-ray folder rips that for some reason don't have a certificate folder. MakeMKV won't read these rips - it just says "failed to open disc". Is there any way around this? Is there any way for MakeMKV to recognize individual .m2ts files in a stream folder and rip the individual file to a lossless mkv?

This is a bug. The workaround - just create an empty CERTIFICATE folder.

Excellent! Thank you. Is this something that might get fixed in a future update?

Yes, of course.

How about reading an individual m2ts stream and ripping from that? I know multiple playlists come into play sometimes, but sometimes not, and I have a few rips that have a certificate folder that for some reason still won't read or rip by MakeMKV, even though the actual m2ts files play fine.
