Purchased key not working

I am having a problem with my purchased key, at first it stopped working on my desktop with my purchased key so I installed it on my laptop and it seemed to work there fine so I left it that way. Today I upgraded my laptop to the latest version of MakeMKV and now it is having the same problem. My desktop has had win 7 re-installed on it and that didn't help either to fix the problem, if I use the beta keys they work fine but the one I bought says the temporary key has expired and has been removed. I also get an error after that one saying the application is to old and to download a newer version or enter a new registration key. I have tried to copy it to notepad first before I copied it to MakeMKV but that didn't help either.
