I'm simply wondering how I can playback a 3D MKV file on my Samsung 3D TV via an external HD (which I now have plugged into my 3D Blu Ray player via USB). I keep hearing vague responses to similar questions w/ mentions of SBS though I'm also hearing the quality of those files is not too great.
I have read countless threads on this board and there seem to be no real answers.
I ripped Dredd 3D on the Hard Drive I mentioned earlier, through Make MKV and selected the MPEG MVC option, but when I play it (external HD to Blu Ray player to TV), there is audio however the video is solid black.
Note: If anyone needs me to post more info about the rip, please let me know (how). Thanks for reading.
Another 3D MKV Post...
Re: Another 3D MKV Post...
hi dont know if you resolved your issue by now, but if you have a newer samsung smart tv try muxing the mkv to a m2ts with tsmuxer.
Samsung doesnt recognize mvc in mkv for some reason but if you use a m2ts shell it will start playback in 3d immediatly even over dlna allshare.
