Hiya,
This is going to sound really picky, but is there anyway to change this value in the output MKV file? I'd like it to just say 'MakeMKV win(x86-release)'.
Once MakeMKV come out of beta, I don't fancy re-ripping all my films!

Re: Writing application : MakeMKV v1.4.9 beta win(x86-release)
Why would you want to change it - it is just a piece of metadata that does not affect anything. The version is needed there per matroska spec. If you really want to get rid of it you may run the MKV file through mkvtoolnix - it will replace writing app with mkvtoolnix. But I would like to understand why?

As I said it's just a minor pickiness. I would like all my rips to show the same program and version, and once this comes out of beta and I use it my rips will not have beta in this meta data value, making them different to ones i'm doing now.
Is there not a piece of software that just allows editing of this value, like you can change the title, genre etc of MP3 files by right clicking > properties and going to the details tab.
