Hiya,
Every DVD I try lists 3 english subtitle tracks. How do I know which one to use?
Just done The Jungle Book and selected the first one but nothing appears in Media Center????
Thanks

Re: DVD Subtitles
Assuming you have codec pack / vobsub etc installed to allow Media Center to play MKVs, have you sucessfully played any MKVs with subtitles in them?
If there is three subtitles on the source you will probably find one is normal, one is SDH versions (i think that is for hard of hearing, so includes what sound effects are going on) and another may include directors commentary as well.

Re: DVD Subtitles
I only have Haali installed on my 32-bit Win 7 installation.
Re: DVD Subtitles
So you've never seen a MKV with subtitles in it playback?
It's not a makemkv problem, to playback MKV with subtitles in Windows 7 I installed these
http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html
and these as well if you are using 64bit windows
http://shark007.net/x64components.html
Then you will have working subtitles in media centre

Re: DVD Subtitles
Thanks!
I'll give those a try and see what happens.
If I ripped a load of DVDs without subs, can I just rip the sub track and merge with the existing movie/audio MKV using mkvmerge?
