Here's the situation i'm in...
A customer of mine has a prebuilt media centre built by another technician that he no longer has contact with.
The old media centre has a legitimate registered copy of MakeMKV on it.
The media centre broke down a few weeks ago, i diagnosed the mobo as faulty. My client decided it was time to build a new one.
I built a new media centre for him, however in the process we stripped some parts from his old media centre including the PSU, BD drive and GPU to cut down on costs.
I have installed MakeMKV on the new media centre, however my client can't find his MakeMKV key anymore.
I still have his old media centre's HDD and it's fully intact/functional. In which registry key, or what file can i access from the old HDD to recover his registration details for MakeMKV?
I have tried booting off the old HDD in several ways but due to his old media centre being a different chipset, i am not having any luck with that since my test box constantly bluescreens if i try to boot into the drive. I know that you can access your registration data in MakeMKV via one of its menu options, which is why it's so annoying to know the key so close but so far!
Can anyone assist?
Recovering MakeMKV registration information?
