V1.7.10 Can't open.

Hi. Just opened MakeMKV (V1.7.9), hadn't used it for while. Dialogue box opened, invited me to download V1.7.10. or register current version (don't remember any regsitration number when I downloaded V1.7.9). Downloaded V1.7.10, it appears in windows Control Panel. But eveytime I open up the programme, the same dialogue box appears with V1.7.9 showing on the opening page. So I'm stuck. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Step one, make sure no copy of MakeMKV is running - use the Task Manager to verify. Nothing with a name containing "makemkv" should be found.

Optional step 1.5, uninstall version 1.7.9.

Step two, reinstall version 1.7.10.

There are some circumstances where a copy of MakeMKV stays in memory, and prevents the install from copying all files into place. Usually, this manifests as a "failed to initialize" message, but it might show up as the old version still being installed when you try to run it. You can have multiple copies of MakeMKV running at the same time, but you cannot install a new version if any old versions are running.
