Computer Shuts Down While Ripping

Post by The Baron »

Hello,

I have purchased MakeMKV for my mac a while back and it has been wonderful. However I just switched to a windows 7 machine and when I try and rip any bluray it will completely shutdown my computer like a power outage or something. I called the manufacturer of this computer since it is new and we can not find anything wrong. No heating problems either. I am stumped.

Can anyone help on this problem.

It only happens with this program.

Thanks

THE BARON

Hi!

1) Have you tried running other similar programs on your new Win machine?

2) Have you run a Memtest on your new machine?

Yes just ran ANYdvd and it worked just fine. I have run a Memtest on my new machine and extensive heat testing with no problems at all. It only shuts down with this program. What memtest do you suggest to run?

Here are some specs
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 3930K Over clocked to a stable 4.4
Memory: 32GB Corsair® Vengeance™ DDR3-1866 1.5V (8x4GB)
Power Supply: 1200 Watt Corsair
Motherboard: Asus® Rampage IV Extreme
Graphics and GPGPU Accelerator: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 690 4GB GDDR5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Optical Drive One: 12X LG SuperMulti Blu-ray/DVD Burner with Software

Thanks,

I’m having this same problem with a Mac Pro 5,1. It appears that the ripping finishes and then reboots.

You system logs should list the reason for the shutdown.
