Expired Beta Key
When do we get the new Beta Key? My MakeMKV is saying the old one is expired.

Re: Expired Beta Key
Do you know the exact limitations of having an expired Beta Key? It still appears to make ISOs of encrypted DVDs. I haven't tried Blurays/UHD dics. I assume those would not work?
Re: Expired Beta Key
MakeMKV only checks the date against key expiration when the program is loaded.
A common dodge for the expired beta key is to set your system date to a date when the key WAS valid, start MakeMKV, then reset your date to current. Until you stop MakeMKV (it can sit quietly in your system tray between rips), it won't check the date again. It also won't advance it's internal time as far as the Bluray checks, for those close to that expiring.

Thank you for the information! I'm a teacher on spring break, so MakeMKV not working threw a curveball into my plans for the rest of the week.Woodstock wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2026 2:05 pmMakeMKV only checks the date against key expiration when the program is loaded.
