I keep getting this error:
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40..01BAA0..00CC4 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom0'
Does this mean my ISO backup did not work? I do NOT get this error with my Libre drives, but I was trying to use the old DVD drive for backing up my 20+ year old DVDs to prevent wear n tear on my new and probably lower quality Libre drive. I was going to save the newer drive for Blurays. I still get the ISO file and "Backup done" message, but I don't know if my ISO files are corrupted somehow. I don't want to burn my entire DVD library to check the ISO files. Just curious if this error is normal..?
MakeMKV Error Message
Re: MakeMKV Error Message
That error usually indicates the old DVD drive couldn’t handle the copy-protection properly. If MakeMKV still shows “Backup done” and produces an ISO, the file is likely fine—just check a few ISOs by mounting them or playing them in a media player to be sure.
