Hey,
I bet you get this questions all the time, so sorry for being blind probably.I got the drive mentioned in the title recently and wonder if I can use it for an ARM (Automatic Ripping Machine) build. Drive was listed as BU40N, but I got a CU20N instead.
Status in MakeMKV says LibreDrive is possible, not yet enabled. But from what I read on the MakeMKV forum this model appears not to be compatible/supported?
Here's the Drive Info from MakeMKV:
Drive Information
OS device name: F:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BDDVDRW CU20N
Revision: 1.00
Serial number: MZ2E9NA1222
Firmware date: 2114-09-11 11:54
Bus encryption flags: 16
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
No disc inserted
I don't need 4K, as for now I mostly want to rip all of my Regular BD and DVD, but I'm not sure if I can use it at all to automatically rip. Or does it not matter if not for 4K BDs?
Thanks in advance!

I think your drive is too old. Don't flash it!! Firmware should be at least from 2015 and yours is from 2014.
