First unrippable disc ever - no solution

Okay, it's looking that those clever bunnies at MakeMKV have finally come unstuck. For the first time ever I have been unable to rip a new disc. It's looking like the encryption can't be fathomed but I've no idea how to resolve. Previously, I just upgraded the program and hey presto, problem solved. Not this time. I upgraded to latest but same issues. Transcript from the session is below. I've read a bunch of threads but nothing seems to suggest an answer. Is there anything I can do? Upgrade my blu-ray drive? Wait on the clever bunnies at MakeMKV to figure it out? Enable something? Help! Please! Help!

Have you lost the ability to read ANY BD? Version 68 of AACS is "old news" for MakeMKV, and MakeMKV 1.14.5 should be able to communicate with the drive regardless of LibreDrive status, UNLESS you've also tried ripping a v72 AACS disk in that drive.

The SDF download should fix the key issue, but you haven't been able to get that yet. Hashkeys doesn't become an issue until you're doing UHD.

Can you do the manual SDF download, explained here?

It looks like you did try a AACS version 72 BR disc which would revoke the host certificate MakeMKV 1.14.5 is using. You do have an sdf.bin installed and it shows your drive as possible for LibreDrive. However looking at your firmware and date for your WH16NS40 drive, it falls into the "unsupported - old firmware type 2" so LibreDrive isn't an option now.

So, wait for an MakeMKV update with a new host certificate or change your drive. Not sure which new drive is best. Or buy a UHD drive with LibreDrive enabled in the UHD section.

Edit: According to "What is LibreDrive?" your drive may become supported by an LG firmware update.

Edit 2: The reason you want LibreDrive is that it bypasses using the host certificate so AACS level is irrelevant.

Way cool that drive is museum quality. I had a v1.00 drive built 12/2015 didn’t work for shit :-(

Flashed it immediately turned into a brick. Returned it to Fry’s in its bricked state with not a word said.
