Unable to process with Nero Recode; MakeMKV 1.9.10

I stumbled across this product and evaluating it. So far I am enjoying it. I am encountering issues with files written by MakeMKV and my inability to compress them using Nero recode, Handbrake, nor Vidcoder. All three programs get to about 50% and then simply stop. It is a similar issue to this:

However, I don't have access to a lower version to see it that would resolve the issue.

What should my next steps be?

You can locate some older versions of MakeMKV here: /download/old/

But we need more information to even guess at what would cause a problem with Nero. I use MakeMKV on a near daily basis with handbrake, so if it were a systemic problem with v1.9.10, I'd have known about it within a few days.

Have you picked up a copy of the mkvtoolnix tools yet? Some times, there are issues with how the MKV file is arranged that will cause problems with further processing. Running the original MKV file through mkvmerge to "re-mux" it, with no other changes, will "fix" the problem. When this happens, it helps Mike (the author of MakeMKV) track down the issue.

I will get mkvtoolnix (if there is a version for Windows) and run it against the mkv file.

OK....I ran MKVToolNix as suggested. It did not find any errors but after processing the file size was a bit smaller:

before MKVToolNix: 26,395,598
after MKVToolNix: 26,395,523

I will downgrade to a previous version and see what happens. I am also going to run Handbrake on the small of the two files to see what happens.

I ran MakeMKV again on a previous Blu Ray and I was able to compress it without issue. I don't know what was going on the first time around, but glad it is resolved.
