Many minor errors seem to tell you what filename / title is affected.
But sometimes an error happens that does not tell you what title is affected. It only tells you, for example, "AV sync issue in Stream 1 at (timecode), audio changes from 24bps to 16bps..."
I'm backing up a whole lot of titles from a disc at once, including special features, so now I have no way to know what title/file the error is happening with.
Any advice on how to know what title is affected? Otherwise I have to do every title individually, in order to determine which one is throwing the error.
Also, does anyone know what that above error even means? It's happening on X-Files: I Want To Believe from the "Own The Moments" two-pack.
Here's another example of an error that doesn't tell me the title/file: "AV sync issue in stream 5 at 0:00:05.034 with duration of 2020.522ms : audio gap - 23.677 missing frame(s)"

While those are "informational warnings", as opposed to errors, the debug log has more information:
004007:0010 AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/RippedVideo/FMP/title01.mkv' (title #2)
004008:0010 AV sync issue in stream 1,2 at 0:22:50.035 with duration of 19.333ms : short audio gap was removed, audio skew is -19.333ms
004008:0010 AV sync issue in stream 1,2 at 0:45:40.051 with duration of 38.666ms : audio gap - 1.208 missing frame(s)
004008:0010 AV sync issue in stream 1,2 at 1:08:27.169 with duration of 27.066ms : short audio gap was removed, audio skew is -27.066ms

Thanks Woodstock!Woodstock wrote:While those are "informational warnings", as opposed to errors, the debug log has more information
I should have thought of looking at the debug log. However...
Up until now, I had that AV option unchecked in preferences, so it wasn't showing me all those little messages.
That message was a particular one, and I'm curious about its meaning - the 24bps to 16bps message.
I had never used that AV checkmark before - upon trying it, I see lots of little warnings. The ones I'm seeing are slightly different than the example you posted - they're talking about overlapping frames, early frames, audio skew, etc. and about removing those frames. It's talking about audio frames, right? And it's removing audio?
Practically, what do those warnings mean? Is it a serious problem? Is it caused by the authoring of the disc?
It's somewhat worrying to think that there are all these "errors."
