MakeMKV Won't Install on Windows 10

I am new to MakeMVK. I found it through a LifeHacker article (http://lifehacker.com/380702/five-best- ... ping-tools). I am a Windows 10 user (ver. 1511, "Fall Release"), running on a 64x Intel i5 quad core 2.5GHz with 16Gb RAM.
I downloaded the installer from the official site, the virus scan came back clean, and upon executing the installer, Windows gives me the standard security warning and I click "Run," after which nothing happens. I downloaded the installer again, and the same happened. The installer package is valid as I fired up my Win XP virtual machine and easily installed from the same file I had previously downloaded.
Also, I am sorry if this has already been addressed. I joined this forum specifically for this issue, and ran a few searches for this problem, but didn't find anything other than people having problems launching MakeMVK who had already installed this before upgrading to Windows 10.

Most likely you're running into the issues others have had with Windows 10.

It is possible that it is as simple as MakeMKV needs to be installed and run as administrator, because it directly accesses hardware, or your system may be blocking it from installing due to other security issues.

Several people had issues with the free version of BitDefender moving parts of MakeMKV during install, or blocking access to it, until they tagged it as a "trusted program".
