Hello,
I am trying to convert a DVD but keep receiving a "fatal error" that forces me to exit the app. I get the same error at the same point on the disc in both the Mac and PC versions of the software. Additionally, I am able to convert the disc to a Video_TS folder fine, but both the original disc as well as the image yield the same results. Additionally, I was able to rip the title fine via MacTheRipper.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi!
What is the title and region number of the original, commercial DVD?

Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
it is "Ben Ten" Season 2 Disc 1, and it is region 1.
i also tried it in version 1.4.11, and it didn't work as well.

i have also tried it with the new 1.5 release, and the problem is persisting.

Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
Please copy all *.IFO files from the disc, compress with archiver of your choice and send to support@makemkv.com. Thank you.
Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
hello, i have also tried this problematic disc with the latest 1.5.2 beta, but the error is still coming up at the same place.
Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
hello mike, i was wondering if you received my email alright with the ifo files?
many thanks.
many thanks.
Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
hello, i have tried this with the latest 1.5.5 version, but am still getting the failure on a single Title. i have successfully watched the disc and reripped it to a Video_TS folder, so i don't think it is a problem with the DVD. it is still failing regardless of whether i try ripping directly from the dvd or from a Video_TS folder.
Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
I've had a similar issue with one of my DVD's as well. So long as you've sent the IFO files and log off to Mike I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
i did send my ifo, and we're still trouble-shooting. i actually have done a fair bit of investigating, and here is what i've found:
1) if i run an extraction on just the video file of the problematic title, it succeeds, but is too short
2) if i run an extraction of the elemental streams using 0Sex, everything extracts fine
3) when i watch the DVD and view the problematic episode, it seems that there is a chapter error. Apple DVD player seems to think that there are six chapters (as does MakeMKV), but the 5th and 6th bring the video to the same point
i don't know too much about what tells a DVD where the chapter breaks for a given title are, but i feel like there is some sort of mismatch.

Re: Fatal Error on a single DVD
FYI, with the new version 1.5.7 it is skipping the title that includes all of the episodes, as well as the title for the problematic episode, citing the problem as possible content protection.
