Of the multiple rips I have performed with 1.15.3 on my Pioneer BDR-208 drive, I would like to say thank you Mike for an unintended fix.
I no longer have to randomly fight to get the Pioneer drive to read faster than 2X speed. Before, it was entirely random. If I saw it wasn't going to go faster, I would have to eject the disc, close the program, and retry. Repeat as needed. If it's a regular BD disc, I prefer to add the wear and tear to the Pioneer drive, not the ASUS UHD Friendly Drive.
This could be related to the fix that claims "Drive speed control update - MakeMKV now forces low speed when reading data around disc edges, working around firmware bugs."
