Instead of instantly killing the entire hour long rip process, it would be amazing if after the set number of retries it paused the ripping, and would allow for the disk to be cleaned and re-tried.
These new UHD disks are very sensitive. This current movie I have already returned the first one after erring out 8 times, and on 4th time for this next disk and may have to return again.
These read errors are happening at a variety of places / changes every time I take it out and clean it, so it would be amazing if I didn't have to wait up to half an hour each time to see how it will fail this next time.
Edit: After 11 times on the second disk, it finally did read it fully
Feature Request: Pause on read error
Re: Feature Request: Pause on read error
When you "pop the disk out", the operating system normally flushes all information about the disk. Put it back in, and the operating system does not say, "Same disk re-inserted", so there wouldn't be a way for MakeMKV to know it is supposed to "continue".
