Great News - The PROBLEM is RESOLVED....

1. I un-installed Divx (crap)

2. I re-created my mkv file (from mkv video only + DTS Eng Audio Track)
But as I did so I was monitoring the mkvmerge process with my window-7 Resource Monitor,
and guess what....
After mmg.exe finished (click ok) the physical writing of the new mkv output file had not finished !!!!

So I WAITED for another 2 mins for all writes (buffer writing out as monitored by Windows Resource Monitor) to the output file to COMPLETELY FINISH BEFORE I accessed the new mkv file.

3. IT WORKS! - no more problems or memory leak.

How about asking the creator of MKVToolnix?

I've noticed 1.7.7 generating files that Handbrake has problems with converting.

On a few Blu-ray's I've ripped the file at one point cant be read by Handbrake via it's error log, however the original file plays fine with no apparent errors. A remux with mkvmerge solves the problem and the video can be converted with Handbrake just fine.

Mkvmerge does log that something is wrong during the remux
Warning: A block group was found at position 2607356411, but no block element was found inside it. This might make mkvmerge crash.
Dont know who's at fault here.
