Old activatiion key no good anymore?

Post by dchicks »

I have an activation key that I bought in 2016 that has been working fine until I just tried to upgrade to 1.18 on Linux. The registration box won't even take the pasting of the key into it. Is this a problem with the key? It's hard to tell, but it looks like there may have been some kind of problem with Linux installations and their credentials. Can someone fill me in? Am I going to have to buy another key? OR, should I just keep using 1.17?
Thanks,
Dave

The key doesn't change between versions. However, did you "copy and paste" it in to the dialog, or simply install the new version over the top of the old?

Copy and paste doesn't always work, because of what gets copied in isn't always what you think it is. If your paste operation happens to include the <cr> at the end of the key string, it can be rejected.
