MakeMKV needs to have its beta key updated periodically.

Hello all.

I recently discovered makemkv and I downloaded the latest version 18.2 and it says the version is too old. It’s asking me to register and to put in a registration key and nothing works. It’s asking for a license key license type license expiration. Can anyone help

MakeMKV Beta expires every 60 days. The version that you're using expired at the end of December. The current key is where it always is... in the message MakeMKV is free while in beta that it has been online (with updates) since Mar 03, 2010, almost 16 years.

As for why… the obvious answer is to encourage people to actually buy a license to the software. A paid license never expires.
