I just updated to 1.18.2 and was wondering if anyone else if having issues?
I was using 1.17.9 on 2 machines before and working on backup projects, and outside of specific issues not related to MakeMKV, the software was working fine at backups.
April I paid for a key to use it on one of my machines for strictly Blueray/4k.
After I just updated to 1.18.2, this version constantly gives me various errors. Mostly backup failed, or unable to copy certain zip files. I have 4 different drives between 2 computers.
I went to my second machine that has 1.17.9 put my key on that one and it backups a disc that 1.18.2 will not. I installed an older version of MakeMKV back on my main machine and it works so far on one disc that I tried on 1.18.2.
I paid for a key as I believe in supporting people who make software like this, and found it very helpful/useful.
I am at a loss. I am going to put 1.17.9 back on my main machine since it seems to work.
These are Windows 11 machines.
Any ideas?
MakeMKV issues with 1.18.2
Re: MakeMKV issues with 1.18.2
Hi Folks, I am experiencing similar problems with 1.18.2:
With (all) previous versions - like 1.18.1 - my drive (Asus BW-16D1HT) is working fine.
After update to 1.18.2, makemkv reports a connection problem: Drive is not answering. Also the drive seems to disconnect the USB after launching makemkv.
Returned to 1.18.1 - works fine again.
What are your experiences?
Have Fun!

Re: MakeMKV issues with 1.18.2
I have an issue that I have had for both 1.18.1 and 1.18.2.
When I press the software eject button on MakeMKV it doesn't eject in Windows (but the actual disc ejects).
This leads Windows Explorer to crash in a while also MakeMKV can start to behave in certain situations.
If I eject the discs in the Windows File Explorer the discs ejects as they should, both physically and in the system.
How I notice this is because when a new disc is loaded into MakeMKV, the old disc is still listed in the Windows File Explorer
and is never updated.
If I try to watch a movie on the disc during these locked and not updated drives the player says it can't find the drive.
Don't know if this issue is multiple drives issue or if this is the same for single drives.
Although when I ripped on my laptop with one external USB drive I never noticed these issues.
