MAKEMKV Registration

I've currently downloaded MAKEMKV and watched a few videos on how to use this software. But on the video they mentioned something about registration log in key as this chap has to this so he could use this software for a month (Only) What I need to know, as long as it's in "BETA" Is this a life long usage or do I have to keep registering this MakeMKV every month? Sorry for being long winded explaining this

Generally, you have two options:

• Update the beta key every time the old one expires. You can get the current beta key here. Beta keys are typically good for a month or two.
• Buy MakeMKV. This gets you a key that never expires.

However, neither of these options is currently available. MakeMKV's developer is currently out of contact (to my knowledge, nobody is quite sure what's up; I hope he's okay!) so the beta key is expired, and there are no permanent keys available for purchase.

So right now, your only option is to wait and see what happens next. If it's any consolation, there are a lot of us in the same boat with you.

For many years now, the program's author, Mike, will post to the forum a key that typically works for about 3 months. After the key expires, he usually waits a few days until a new key is posted. This encourages folks to buy a permanent key.

The current free key expired at the end of July and the next free key has not been posted yet. Also, unfortunately, the backend system that allows for people to purchase a permanent key has suffered a failure and at the moment, no one can buy a permanent key either. This is not normally the case, but things are a bit of a mess right now.
