Payment Link Down. Trial Down. No Way to use MakeMKV.

Trial for MakeMKV Beta trial expired, thats fine but it prevented me from using it with vlc to watch blu rays on my pc. So I wanted to buy MakeMKV and when trying to check the price its impossible, the link is dead and you cannot even buy it. What is going on? Do I seriously need to buy powerdvd?

The payment processor appears to have temporarily disabled purchase of MakeMKV due to a number of recent complaints about unfulfilled orders. It's not unusual for the updated beta key to take a few days, but the delay in purchased keys is not typical. All we really know is the developer is currently unresponsive; it's possible something serious has happened in his life. I suggest being patient for a few more days. More information may be forthcoming now that we're out of the weekend.

AFAIK, the time check for the expiration date is done using the local time on the PC. So you should be able to change the date of your PC to prior to Jul 31 and it should work, if you're desperate until a new key is added (or the payment system resumes).

As expressed elsewhere, manually setting the date on your computer back to any time in July 2025 will allow you to continue ripping, while you're awaiting the key from your purchase.

In the mean time, give a little benefit of doubt. He's a one-man show and if (hopefully not) he's had an family emergency or medical crisis, he may not be able to respond. You never know what may be happening with someone else in the world if you don't know them directly. Give the same kind of latitude you'd want others to offer you.
