I've begun the refund process. We'll see how it goes.

The "key" issue occurred to me last night too. Checked again today to see if the "key" issue has been resolved. Guess not.

I did as suggested and changed the date on my imac. i'm up and running. I'll still purchase a permanent key once things are back up and going.

Uncertain. Reports differ. At least two posters have reported PayPro Global said they were unable to contact Mike:

No response from MakeMKV and PayPro just forwarded my email to them to makemkv. Reached back out this morning asking if they have heard anything at all and was told, "We have been trying to contact the vendor for the last couple of days, but, unfortunately, haven't heard from them yet."

I called PayPro, and they said the MakeMKV folks aren't responding to their messages regarding these issues. Kind of worrisome.
At least one poster reports PayPro has been in touch with Mike:

But what's more concerning is that, according PayPro Global, Mike has contacted them concerning this current matter.

The following day, 24+ hours later, I called PayPro Global to inform them I had not heard anything from Mike. The PayPro Global agent I spoke with said at that time that Mike had responded to them, indicating he was in the process of securing more "beta keys."

I asked the agent to confirm that Mike had actually contacted them, since it seemed odd that he had not posted something in the forums as well. The agent confirmed that Mike had been in contact with them concerning the matter at hand.
(It's not surprising PayPro Global is giving conflicting information; I wouldn't assume individual customer service reps are always completely up to date on who has been talking to whom.)

We seem to be firmly in "We don't know, and we don't know what we don't know" territory. I regret that isn't a very clear answer, but I hope it helps nonetheless.

I have several hundred movies and series I am downloading to my server. I'm using four Dells running windows with LG upgraded drives. To solve the "Beta key" issue I reset the Date on my systems to July 5 2025 and was able to keep going. If "Mike?" or whoever never responds again I will just temp reset my date and rock on. Hope he's not dead in a ditch or called it quits. I was going to send him some coin and some suggestions. I'm 100% combat disabled with spinal cord injuries so bigger buttons and shortcuts would make things easier for me. We'll see what happens but the Date rollback is a temp solution.///END///

I know it is not something we like to think about but we should have all contingency plans if we're incapacitated. Someone needs to be able to access your stuff.

Hoping Mike is okay. I'm also hoping this issue will be fixed sometime soon, too; I'd like to purchase a key!

In MakeMKV's preferences, there's "Ask for single drive mode" which allows you to run multiple instances of MakeMKV on a single computer, each 'locked' to a specific optical drive. I assume that's why you're using 4 computers. If not, then carry on. :)

Hi everyone

If anybody needs to use MakeMkv in the meantime. Remove the application from your PC. Change the date back a month. Reinstall it. You still won't be able to register or use any keys, but Makemkv will be in that "2 week grace period" state where the trial period has expired but it still lets you use it for a few days.

I have a fresh install I performed with the Windows 11 system date set to July 1st and it opened just fine, but when it tries to decrypt the disc it says the evaluation period is over, and fails so the suggestion to start with a new install with the system clock set to July does not seem to work at least with Windows 11.

Provided I change the date my 2012 Mac mini (running Catalina) lets me use the app like before.

Hi,

Honestly, i never bought the key since i barely have DVDs left to rip and since i'm from Europe, the price is too high.

Like others, i installed now the newer version (i haven't used MakeMKV for 2 months) and it always says that the application version is too old...
Also, we're now on 6th August and there's nothing regarding a new beta key, nor any explanation. And yes, the site to purchase one is down.
