Handbrake and DVDs (and LibreDrive?)

Hi!

I hope I'm not starting a duplicate here with this thread...

Does Handbrake benefit from MakeMKV being installed and from my BD reader being LibreDrive-unlocked? I'm asking because I'm currently transcoding one title from a DVD and I haven't dumped it beforehand...

I'm processing the file quite a lot, so I need to wait 90 minutes before knowing whether the transcoding worked. ... I was under the impression that this DVD (TV Series named "Grande Ourse") was copy-protected, so I don't understand how Handbrake is currently converting the file... :/

In case I have to clarify something... : I never did that before. I always use MakeMKV, but I tried this specific thing tonight and it just seems to work.

Hm... Nevermind. I just tried doing the same thing with a AAA Holywood movie and it failed. The logs are not super useful with Handbrake. I guess encryption is doing its job.
