To the powers that be.
I was trying to backup my Jethro Tull - Aqualung 40th anniversary Blu-Ray after reading many stories online about people having issues with this disc.
Sure enough when I put it into the drive MakeMKV showed many errors and then a link to this error page / FAQ:
https://www.makemkv.com/errors/read/
So I found an downloadable option and started a multi-hour download.
While it was downloading I decided to try giving the disc a good clean / polish (It had never been played before).
Once I cleaned it MakeMKV was able to back it up no problems.
So I am just thinking that you might want to add that as a possible solution to that error page that they should try cleaning the disc. (I know one should think of that on their own. But when you have read multiple threads for a specific disc having issues you might not think of it like I didn't initially).
My guess is that this disc maybe has some really bad manufacturing goop on it from the factory and many people don't think a new disc needs to be cleaned. I have had that in the past with movies but this was the first time with a BD-A disc.
Just a thought.
Carl.
