Incorrect "Latest available version" in about box

Is there a reason that the about box shows an incorrect "Latest available version"? As you can see, it shows the latest version as 1.17.6 when I'm running version 1.17.8. Is there a fix for this issue or work around for this issue?

The author has to fix it. I wouldn't worry about it, though, because it's really not that important, considering that the last two versions have been "increment so it looks different" changes.
