You're so right! Why should I use past experience to make a conjecture about the future? That is clearly foolish of me. I must approach everything as if it is new and I have no prior understanding.

Crowfax's original reply to casey737 of "mike will release a new key in a few days" seemed to be all that was required, we know from experience that a new key is released once a month.
rajb245 took this an opportunity to complain that there are a "few days each month" when a free key is not available.

I paid $50 because I'm very grateful that SOMEBODY is supporting Blu-ray ripping on the Mac. The only alternative is Windows and I can't be arsed. It's worked perfectly for me with over 40 Blu-ray rips thus far and I'm happy to support the developer because of his multi-platform support.
In regards to all the arguing about the price, it was a solid $50 smackers USD. There was no tax... there wasn't anything but the listed $50. The key was sent fairly quickly and all is well.
