Re: Best Drive Option
Hoping for some insights. I am going to be wanting a drive that will burn very high quality audio discs as well as I have a lot of live music that I am wanting to put on CD for my various stereo systems. Many many moons ago I would have used a Plextor drive or something equivalently high end. For a...

Re: first UHD rip and i can not get atmos
Ok, so i ripped my first UHD today, The Professional. I selected the TrueHD 7.1 in the rip. When i go to play the rip back on my Oppo 203, the best i can get is multi-channel 7.1, no atmos. When I hit "audio" on the Oppo remote i get "MLP English" as the only option. When i play...

Re: LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE BP60NB10 Get error when trying to flash.
Thank you MartyMcNuts I was able to flash the drive now. But still can't copy my 4k movies? MakeMKV v1.17.5 win(x64-release) started Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=2C4D7778BC41) Using direct disc access mode Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files. Saved AACS dump file as F:...

Re: LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE BP60NB10 Get error when trying to flash.
Is it SVC NB12? If so, are you trying to flash BP60NB10 NB12 1.02-MK firmware? Is the drive tray empty and closed? SVC code NB12 The Firmware name is: DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.00_MK_HBD.bin Is this the wrong firmware? Yes the drive is empty and closed. Wrong firmware. You should flash DE_LG_BP60NB10-NB12_1...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
We have posted on MakeMKV about the issues with the BDR-UD04 and links to other forums with very poor reviews. Please see the links below. If you are looking for playback, this drive is out as it freezes repeatedly. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=33094 https://forum.makemk...

Re: HP BU40N firmware flashing
I just took a spare HP BU40N to see if I just ignored the error and tried to flash it according to the guide, what would happen? The flashing process went completed and MakeMKV saw new information of the drive. I put a standard and even a 4K Blu-ray to test, MakeMKV detected the discs and ripped th...

Re: HP BU40N firmware flashing
I did try a standard Blu-ray disc of mine lying around. The funny thing is the drive was recognised in Windows, but when I put the disc in, MakeMKV detected and tried to load the disc, but ended up showing that "No disc inserted". The flashing tool still threw the same "Incorrect str...

Re: HP BU40N firmware flashing
Yeah I didn't change anything when installing MakeMKV. Also the drive tray was closed and no disk was inside when I plugged it in through direct SATA connection and opened the tool. I'm using the latest Windows 10 build, installing the latest MakeMKV version from the website. If you haven't used Ma...

Re: Wrongly flashed BU40N
I tried the recovery option with that firmware and it did not work. The UI always tells me the process is successful but the in the mkv overview the firmware always stays the same (except for that one time when I flashed the wrong one). I'm actually not unexperienced with flashing, I even regularly...

Re: HP BU40N firmware flashing
Hello! Sorry for my very late response. I just came back from my long vacation. Anyway, I did tried putting an UHD disc in, and the drive didn't do anything. So I went ahead and tried flashing my drive using your software and the firmware pack file. After selecting the drive, the tool immediately t...
