Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The Above reply seems to be about the GCCWTV or what ever they call it, I’m interested in the Ugoo.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So I have the Chinoppo, 2 Shield 2019 Pro, 4K firestick, Zidoo Z9X, had the Google thing with the long name and sold it because it can’t do lossless audio, what do I buy next, is this Ugog a winner?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
He has the HDfury Vertex which can tell if it's lldv or tv-led DV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_a77zJTrO4 Ok thanks, well as far as I know, LLDV if it's well made doesn't have to be worst than TV-LED. The quality I observe in FEL files playback is really good, but I don't have any reference to...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi. What app options are there for Dolby Vision playback via a Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) on a Panasonic GZ950 OLED? I’ve read some mention Plex beta app, is that currently the only option? Thanks. Custom builds of Kodi are the best way to go on shield Plex is currently shit. Thanks for replying. ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Now that it is clear that the Shield/CX has a problem with DV, does it make sense to remux the DV releases to HDR10 (drop the EL+RPU layer)? Or is what we are seeing equivalent to HDR10, only labelled as DV? while it's ignoring the EL, you are still getting dynamic HDR from the Shield. It's no bett...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anyone know if the new Google ChromeCast (4th generation) can playback DV BluRays formats with full support FEL etc? It cannot DV could be only supported for Streaming apps.... I really hope it supports dual-layer FEL + lossless audio with PLEX. If it does, I think I'm going to buy one. Hoping I'm ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
thanks for clarifying. And it looks like I'll be stuck with selecting a forced/default sub track manually? So many films have these. In any event, it will be useful for me to have a DV-capable disc player to give me a reference for playback from other sources. Get the Oppo clone and rip to iso or B...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
if the X700/X800(M2) played BDMV from USB that would be useful for me. I came across one positive reference to that via a search, but I guess there are some owners on this forum who may be able to confirm. DV is supported only in TS / M2TS / MP4 and bluray disc on the x700... no BDMV support via US...

Hi, I followed that thread last year just as they was testing and teasing with it, (that is the site I bought the unit through) but most users have been disappointed with it so I never gave it a go, the way I understand it is you browse the library on an external device and then ‘fling’ it to the C...

But TV internal players aren't the best for playback, they lack chapters, may lack capacity for some audios (LG CX for example lacks DTS support).. lacks PGS support.. is it really worth it?
Do love the convenience of Kodi / Plex/ HT4 though ☹️

Seems promising and could be the best of both worlds if you can get it work.
It’s no biggy I was hoping for the holy grail of total integration and that Yuescope or somebody else had found a way to wrap Dual Stream into a format devices could decode fully.
Off topic: latest releases of DVD fab claim to mixing TrueHD into mp4 AND achieving playback via e-arc.
I don’t have an AVR capable of e-arc or the money for a Diva, anybody been able to try this? Is this where Youscope and others that where originally working on this project disappeared too, working for DVDfab?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Is the red tint and FEL support such a big problem? Is it a problem for general watching? I'm pretty content and happy with my Shield, otherwise. Hi, I would say if you are content with the output of the shield, don’t see the red push and don’t see the difference in ‘some’ movies without the FEL la...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yep, just sell that TV and get an LG lol. Even Dolby recommends to the colorist the LG C7 or newer for previewing. Not an option. I like Sony's motion handling and HDR10 8) New 2021 Bravias will support TV-led DV You can change the tone curve and roll off in the LG to mimick the Sony with Calman, c...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The CX can do TV led Dolby Vision so it has 2 decoders, so no discussion. What is more likely is the second decoder is crippled in firmware for media file playback. Have you tried built in Plex app from NAS? Yep, LG internal player/Plex. Firmware crippled makes sense, sucks, but makes sense. Above ...
