Re: Newbie Questions
That totally depends on your player. Assuming you're using windows media player, look for a tiny "MKV" icon in the system tray. Right-clicking on this icon will bring haali menu where you can change audio and subtitle streams.

Re: Windows Exploer Stops Working with MKV files
This really sounds like an old version of haali splitter. haali splitter is a third-party component that decodes MKV on windows. It is not related to MakeMKV in any way. Please google on "haali" or "CCCP" and update your codecs. In any case MakeMKV just produces MKV files, it doe...

Re: Open VOB's
Question: Does your software take into account the delay in an audio track? Short answer - yes. Long answer - MakeMKV synchs audio/video using timecode information from source, so it automatically processes initial audio delay or any audio gaps. Feature request: Allow VOB's to be opened and convert...

Re: Audio not synched
I have attempted to makemkv with two seperate blu-ray images that I had backed up with AnyDVDHD to an .iso. In both cases the mkv was successfully created with no errors but the audio is out of synch with the video, and at times seems as if the video is playing slower that the audio track. If I mou...

Re: Output file error
Hello there, A very nice program. But I have a problem. Why do you need the source file and output file to be on the same drive? If I selected the output file to be different from the source file, I'll get an error. Is this a bug? Regards, David You can select any directory for the output, on any d...

Re: Makemkv doesn't play nice with others
Dunno if that helps point the way at why the makemkv can't play nice with other stuff but if not, any ideas? The problems you described seem to be caused by mkvextract failing on MKV file. I don't know the reason - we'll try to investigate. As for your problem, there is a solution. mkv2vob is just ...

Re: ordinary DD stereo sound
- MakeMKV nicely copies the Dolby 5.1 and DTS sound tracks. \\\however, some of my DVD's only have simple (Dolby) stereo sound. When I play the MKV file, there is no sound at all. Is it not copied? MakeMKV should copy all streams that were selected before copy. In some cases when equivalent better ...

Re: Blueray VC1 doesn't work
Hi there, your program is really great and i would surely pay for it, but there are a few things missing, I hope they make it to the final... First of all, VC1-support is missing. I ripped the BDs using AnyDVD HD, .h264 worked like a charm (Bank Job), but the converted mkv with VC1-sources (Iron Ma...

Ok let's start with the BDs I have 1:1 on file as iso made by AnyDVD, copy protection removed, Thanks a lot for providing this info - it was very helpful. There was indeed a bug in a program that prevented it from opening Blu-ray and HD-dvd discs that were already decrypted by AnyDVD. The new versi...

Re: Sub-Titles
I have problems with sub-titles on all my DVDs that I have ripped to mkv files. I can't get rid of them! The only solution I have found is to manually deselect the sub-titles for each track I am converting. Unless I am missing something when plating back the mkv files; would it be possible in the p...
