Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I've tested the Ugoos AM6 Plus media player (Amlogic S922X-J), and it seems, the internal player correctly processing the F ull E nhancement L ayer from DTDL mp4 file! https://youtu.be/RYeLEYk_Bys I'm tried with Kodi 19 custom build and working same with the P7 STDL mkv too! thanks for confirming! ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Here say that work DV FEL: https://www.avpasion.com/foro/t/nuevo-chromecast-con-google-tv-con-soporte-completo-dolby-vision-de-una-pista-y-doble-capa-fel-mel.3588/ Any try? is true? I'm skeptical. Even if it's capable of playing FEL, I suspect that it's just ignoring the EL like what the Shield is ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anyone know if the new Google ChromeCast (4th generation) can playback DV BluRays formats with full support FEL etc? Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
As i read the x700 cant reproduce the new mkv dolby vision movies, the dual layer ones, or the dual layers mixed in 1 video file inside the mkv, im i wrong? Like I said, the x700 can only play them in m2ts/ts containers. There are no devices out there at the moment that can play FEL DV in mkvs with...

Re: how to decrypt UHD from backup?
you're gonna have to make an iso out of your encrypted backup and then mount it to a virtual drive. you can then have makemkv treat it like any other disc and do your decrypted backup. Yeah, I tried that (using PowerISO on Win10) and the ISO file mounts just fine. However, makemv (latest rev) does ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Im been reading for almost months now about this and the best choice is the lg ubk90 bluray player and use your external drive there, only till 2tb, it plays everything fine, but no isos or bluray rip carpets,so mkv, mp4, single dual layer all fine. I don't know where you're getting your info from, ...

Re: Dolby Vision or not...
However, on other sites I've read that's how a Dolby Vision signal(?)is sent...it transports along a 8-bit rgb tunnel and that when it gets to the tv it magically becomes a Dolby Vision signal(?)....which would mean that the Denon video signal of 8-bit RGB is correct. That's the correct info there....

I really hope it supports dual-layer FEL + lossless audio with PLEX. If it does, I think I'm going to buy one.
early reports does seem promising

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yes that can be tricky so I always make sure I check the HDfury web GUI to see what is being sent. I’m the one who discovered the HDFury LLDV/Dolby Vision hack for HDR only displays/projectors and shared it with the world, so I know this well and check It often. So the answer is, Infuse Pro only pl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Does this dune support bdmv and iso with menu's? Probably more important question is whether this dune can properly decode dual layer (single track or dual track) DV. Not sure if anyone actually has one in hand yet, but I'm guessing it'll be soon and then we'll see. if he can play bdmv and iso, tha...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Now that it is clear that the Shield/CX has a problem with DV, does it make sense to remux the DV releases to HDR10 (drop the EL+RPU layer)? Or is what we are seeing equivalent to HDR10, only labelled as DV? Just play the DV remuxes in an app that doesn't support DV (non-beta Kodi, Emby, Mxplayer, ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
if i read the last pages, it seems to be that mkv lost the battle against dolby vision. am i right? there is no right way to play DV-files correctly with mkv? mkv didn't lose the battle with DV, quite the opposite actually. It's certainly no fault of the container that no devices can currently play...
