Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Semi working with the fact that PGS subs etc. doesnt work (most places). And just the direction of getting to have the file in the first place Ah sure, yeah, the PGS issues and lack of chapters support is definitely a shortcoming of the current TS route. Just didn't want to give the newer people th...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

I don't think there's anything "semi-working" about the current TS method at all :). Sure it can be a little tedious and confusing for newer people, but the resulting file will produce the same picture and audio as the eventual DV mkvs. There will still be some use for the TS remuxes in t...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Hello guys. I'm new here. I'm curious about the possibility of Dolby Vision and MKV. A question, as I still don't quite understand the subject: When preparing a remux of BD 4K (HDR10/HDR10+ and DV) will be merged in just one video? Will this process reencode? Is it possible to join the two videos w...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

I've got it working. Thanks for your help! When do you think the Dolby Vision MKV standard will be finalised? What is your opinion on how long it will take for the softwares of LG, plex, kodi, etc to implement the changes allowing recognition of DV in a mkv container? Dolby has nothing to do here, ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Now we just need it to be merged in and we can start updating yusesopes code to look nice.

Hopefully mike will follow up with an update fast, so we can get some test material

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Nice. Hopefully that happens soon and then things can continue moving forward. Thanks for the update! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk The exoplayer pull is on pause untill the spec is done! it will be a quick fix however, as the proposed method is close to the current. Yusesope did a nice proo...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

The nice thing is that a Plex Employee noticed the spec change and wrote on the Plex request. So i've got a feeling that they want to implement it as soon as it is finalized in the specification :) UPDATE : Good news, Plex has written to me directly that they are looking to adding the support for th...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Exciting times :) I'm as desperate as everyone for a binary but willing to wait while these excellent developers sort everything out. It's been sad seeing such a collaborative and friendly thread become distracted by other things, keep up the great work and we are here when you need testers. I thin...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

So are we saying there is now reasonable hope (expectation) that an htpc could be used within a few months? Currently it's for Android players there is being played with code, but the code can be moved elsewhere afterwards if people integrate it! Its all about pushing your favorite players as soon ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Ofc. Its because he added it :-) as a non mkv programmer i dont notice video news! My point was that they weren't doing anything until it was requested, and it was requested because Mike made progress. Mike did good work and so did yusesope! Right now its just making sure that the current code does...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

But lets leave it! Stuff is on its way, so be happy about that :-) The big miracle was from mike - the rest of it here is minor stuff, the code is not advanced at all if you had knowledge about mkv. Like Mike wrote to Exoplayer, it could be implemented within an hour. So all of this is just all of i...
