Re: Game of Thrones UHD Complete Series 1-8 - No Decrypt Key yet

I like my bu40n a lot. Been my go to drive for single disc ripping since I got it and hasn't given me any problems at all.

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Good to know. That's not a drive I've had any experience with so always nice to know what to tell people.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Yes. And I've confirmed that on my c8 with my integral 2. It's definitely sending rgb dv from the shield.

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Doesn't really matter. 1.02 is probably preferable in that situation. EDIT: Just saw your newest post. Use 1.00. That's the best firmware. thanks, will run that on my 16D1HT for a while and see how it goes. I also have an Asus BC-12D2HT on 3.11MK, would that also benefit from being cross-flashed to...

Presumably, switching to the WH16NS60 firmware on the Asus drive is reversible if disc writing capability needs to be restored? I may drop it onto mine to see how it compares to 3.10.
Yes. I use NS60 1.00 on my BW16D1HT.

Ah, you're going old school mp4's. Well, rip to MKV anyway and that way if you need convert them later you still can.

What do you mean? Just rip mkv with 1.15.3 and you keep both.

Probably not. I don't know that plex is going to notice though. Your part 1 and 2 I mean.

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)

One thing I don't understand is why the disc can't be backed up until the keys are updated. I understand why I can't open and remux the content of the disc but surely I can backup anything that can be read by windows? Who says you can't? :) Use the backup to folder function of MakeMKV. That's what ...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)

It would appear I'm not alone in having the Two Towers discs missing from the steel book set. Someone posted a review on BB's site saying the same thing. BB is useless as they didn't get enough of these sets in to even stock all the stores. Might have to go with a backup plan which will cost me more...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)

Don't worry about it. All good. Just trying to help you get moving forward again. And when you're ripping, pay attention to which disc is in which slot in these cases. You might accidentally rip 2 theatrical versions when you MEANT to rip the extended versions. Not that anyone would be that stupid. ...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)

I was ripping these just fine until I got to The Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition. I put the disc in and the drive spun up and sounded funny. It then slowed to a crawl trying to open the disc before eventually crapping out with: "Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' o...
