Ok, so the PC case has a 9.5mm optical drive slot. Are you sure you have connected both sata and power cables to the drive? Or is it a combined 13 pin data/power cable? The sata and power cables are separate and not combined; they are connected to the drive. I'll double-check to see that the connec...

On the back of the BU40N, there's a mini sata port (7 + 6 pin) which is connected to the motherboard of my slimfit HP PC, which is plugged into an electrical outlet in the wall of my home.

I did power cycle it. I know the unit can eject and spin the discs, but won't play anything (e.g. DVD, Blu-ray, CD, etc.)

I just tried Marty McNuts firmware (BU40N 1.03-MK) and that didn't work.

With all of the flashing I've done, now my UHD won't play any DVDs, Blu-rays or 4k Blu-rays. I got a used UHD BU40N (internal slim drive) today. At one time, it could play blu-ray discs, but now it won't play any discs. I was trying to flash it, using the SDFtool Flasher and this bin file: HL-DT-ST-...
